LYRIC CAMPAIGN
People love nostalgia. They love remembering a time in their life where things were at its peak. The Miami Dolphins Anthem Song brings people back to a moment in their life and elicits a feeling and memory of being a Dolphins fan. This is why we teamed up with illustrator Jon Contino from NYC to create a graphical poster which was created in series to use as limited giveaways to the fans and ticket renewal members. We then took it even further and got a motion animator to come and bring the lyric design to life using the orginal song. It would play during a Dolphins wins on the video boards as well as via social media as a viral piece.
Our first step was exploring various design executions so we started with samples from Brandon Moore, Art by SURGE and then Jon Contino, which we ended up landing on. We wanted something that was authentic and that had a championship vibe to it. We formulated a plan to help bring this campaign to life within the Dade County area which would activate the cities and reinforce the brand amongst the fan who supports both football or just art for its beauty. In the end we choose the designs from Jon to continue forward. This was super fun to work on because it helped bridge the gap between classic and modern.
FINAL DESIGN
After the design process we printed a limited batch of posters based on the final design to gave them during our Throwback Uniform game to various fans and ticket members. These pieces were sought after as a special print collector’s item for fans of all ages. We then took it a step further and created an motion graphic animated video to use for social as well as a “win” prompt on our video screens after a Miami Dolphins victory at home.
